“La Fee Electrique” (“Electric Fairy”)
This early and unusual mascot has lightning bolts streaming off the back of her shield. The soft, sinewy form is evocative of Art Nouveau. It was designed for Viriot et Janin (CEMS from 1919), a small car manufacturer located in the Paris suburbs.
Most race cars were non-competitive after their first campaign - the 1927 Vauxhall was competitive for 23 years (1927-1950) and you can see it in person.
