“La Cocotte” for Voisin Automobiles

The design of this mascot is attributed to Gabriel Voisin, a French aviation pioneer who first built planes before turning his attention to luxury automobiles. The abstracted form of a bird evokes motion and embodies Art Deco. It is made of aluminum, a lightweight metal popularized by aircraft manufacture. Voisin cars touted cutting-edge technology and design borrowed from aviation.
