A Collection Shifts Into a Higher Gear
“The recently reopened Revs Institute is home to over 100 significant cars from Miles Collier’s impressive trove. If the Revs Institute doesn’t sound like your typical auto museum, that’s because it’s not. Recently reopened (albeit at 50% capacity), its roughly 35,000 square feet of display space for the 110 or so historically significant automobiles that make up the Miles Collier Collections are “just the tip of the iceberg,” as the museum likes to say. The remaining 45,000 square feet are home to one of the largest automotive libraries in the world, which coordinates with scholars on historiographical research, sponsors a fellowship, and participates in the interlibrary lending program for those who can’t come to southwest Florida. But it is the cars that draw most visitors here.”
